Semi Overweight

When we were in high school, my best friend Martin and I were ASB officers each of our four years, and throughout that time were required to produce several videos for assemblies, meetings, and other class functions. We began branding our videos as Semi-Overweight Productions. Back then, I was about 100 pounds heavier, weighing almost 300 pounds. Martin was nowhere near as big as I was, but still outweighed a significant percentage of the student body. We've always loved to make fun of ourselves, and its easiest where we're the weakest... and that would be with food. So, several years later when we decided to make a couple videos just to enjoy ourselves, we brought back the name, and ever since then, we've been trying to think of how to best brand it, how to appeal to the public.

The concept of being semi overweight is fairly simple, and it doesn't always adhere to a weight guideline. To be semi overweight as I see it, is to be in search of total indulgence- food and music- at every turn. We are a society built of foodies, hip-hoppers, and audiophiles, so join us if you like.

Martin and I both love to be creative and dream big- it's what has kept us such good friends over the years, but for now "Semi Overweight" is just a creative outlet that keeps us laughing. Maybe someday we'll find a way to make it pay the bills.
